Kilo Hōkū was featured at the first annual STEMS² Symposium, which took place at the Kamakakūokalani Center for Hawaiian Studies on June 27th, 2019. The STEMS² Symposium invited teachers, students, policy makers, cultural practitioners, STEM and other STEMS² enthusiasts to learn with and from each other. Presentations highlighted local and national work that focused on interdisciplinary, place and culture based education. Over 150 participants attended from across the state and around the world.
Attendees had the opportunity to try the latest version of the Kilo Hōkū simulation and learn more about our project. There was lots of interest!
